1. Less Cellulose Consumption

At Cluster, we start by radically reducing the consumption of cellulose and take disposable paper towels as a target. Cellulose, though widely recognized as “Ecological” material, in fact, requires large amounts of water and energy to produce. In addition, the delivery of white towels is a chemical process whose effects are felt by our environment.

Therefore, in our bathrooms you will find ecological and hygienic cotton rolls in rolls from CWS (link to the manufacturer's website), which are not only friendly to the planet, but also guarantee a higher standard of hygiene. One roll, can be used up to 100 times!

Thanks to the use of eco-friendly cotton rolls in Serviced offices, we save more than 10,000 liters of water per year, which would be needed to produce paper towels.

2. Recycling without Compromises

At Cluster, every detail matters, and waste segregation is proof of that.

Three rules:

• Baskets for RUBBISH MIXED we denote as baskets on NON-RECYCLABLE WASTE.
  This is unfortunately a pervasive problem that causes plastic, glass, paper and bio to end up in the mixed garbage, which have their own dedicated bins. Remember - a mixed bin is a place for all kinds of waste, for which a separate container is not provided. These will be e.g. paper towels (It doesn't go to paper!) , dirty paper packaging after pizza, meat/fish (it is not bio, because it undergoes putrefactive processes), fat, ferns after cleaning.
• Limitation of plastic bags in the trash cans within Serviced offices and conference rooms.
  We treat these baskets as baskets for dry fraction, which we independently segregate into the right recycling bins during cleaning. We ask our customers to dispose of bio waste only in bins in kitchens, specially designed for this purpose.
  In our serviced office in Cracow on Inwalidów Square we have about 40 such baskets. If we were to throw out a bag every day, we would needlessly throw away about 9,600 additional garbage bags a year. With 5 locations, this number would grow annually up to 50,000 bags!
• Minimal consumption of cellulose.
  Cellulose is used in kitchens as disposable towels. We have eliminated them in the bathrooms, where we use the CWS solution.

3. Green Energy for Business from Respect Energy

Our commitment to the environment was reflected in the choice of electricity supplier. By partnering with Respect Energy, we ensure that all the energy consumed in our Serviced offices In Krakow, it comes from renewable sources.

Switching to green energy from Respect Energy allows us to reduce CO2 emissions by around 25% compared to a standard supplier.

4. Fighting PET bottles

At Cluster, plastic is enemy number one. We mentioned the reduction of garbage bags before, but it doesn't stop there — we don't buy plastic water bottles — instead, water filters are available everywhere. We make sure not to promote products that can harm both our health and the planet.

According to our trained model, chat GPT calculated that:

Given the number of stations in each location and the time they have been in operation, we estimate that you have avoided the use of approximately 1,203,728 plastic bottles. This is an impressive figure that makes a significant contribution to the protection of our planet.

We still have the task of completely eliminating Tetra Packs for milk. We promise that we will do it in this half of the year. Keep our word!

5. Automated Air Conditioning and Ventilation

Our ventilation and air conditioning system is automated.

After 5 pm, there is a reduction in the ventilation capacity due to the smaller number of customers present. The same thing happens with air conditioning. Of course - our users can turn on the air conditioning themselves, but - if they forget about it when leaving the serviced office - we have an automatic machine for this, which turn off air conditioning equipment every hour. In the morning, we restore ventilation early enough to provide fresh air and the right temperature.

The average length of stay of users in the office is 6-7 hours. The automation of this process allows you to consciously use the energy needed for this, while simultaneously providing the required amount of air and temperature in the serviced office in accordance with the health and safety standards. This is a drastic reduction in the amount of energy needed to power HVAC equipment at full power.

You will be surprised, but this is not an industry standard... But for us — an indispensable element of ecological responsibility and shaping trends.
